get away straight

listening to: rock n roll- velvet underground

Hi Brittany!

A good site that has slipped my mind of late, due to my hard drive dying on me a few months ago and me losing all my bookmarks, is
Are You Generic?. Good stuff there about street art including a whole community section dedicated to cataloging as best they can different street art seen in cities around the world. Although it is nowhere near all-encompassing, it does a good job of showcasing what this world has to offer in terms of real creative street art that is not bound by the limitations that 'big brother' sets for us free-thinkers. Good culture jamming, check it out.

This is such a good idea, I hope that it will catch on. Goodsearch is basically a search engine with a good intention. This is pretty much what I use from now on, and all of my searches benefit the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA/SPCA) This is from their site:
GoodSearch is a search engine which donates 50-percent of its revenue to the charities and schools designated by its users. It's a simple and compelling concept. You use GoodSearch exactly as you would any other search engine. Because it’s powered by Yahoo!, you get proven search results. The money GoodSearch donates to your cause comes from its advertisers — the users and the organizations do not spend a dime!

So I'm writing for CrownDozen now. I'm pretty stoked about it because I go there all the time to find out what all the cool shit is about and what's up. Just like they say, it's all of the cream and none of the crop. You're not part of the in-crowd unless you go there, but don't blow the spot up or else it'll be like that cool band you used to dig but then everyone and their little brother found out about them and they ended up on MTV and then eventually you see some dude on All My Children wearing their band shirt. Yeah, screw that. Everyday I'm hustlin'...
