all you ever do is whine

I'm bumpin': October's Problem- The Narrows <------------(click it to hear it)

Found some cool stuff earlier. I acquired a few scans of a pamphlet that has to deal with the whole Dark Side of Oz legend. It talks about some theories and such. Interesting, although I can't say that I have even seen it yet myself. One time my cousin and I tried to do it ourselves except we used the Dark Side of the Moon CD and the Wizard of Oz that was taped off of the TV. That obviously did not work! A local movie theatre actually plays this feature from time to time so I'ma check it out the next time it comes around. Interesting, nonetheless.

Speaking of rap that is somewhat under the radar (I know I wasn't saying anything about rap music, but I wanted to bring this up), there is a rapper called Esham who you should definitely check out. Real old skool flavor to some of his stuff, and the best way that I can describe his style, earlier stuff at least, would be a cross between L.L. Cool J (early years) and the late great Big L. Both in forms of deliverance, style and voice. Cop a listen to the track Esham's Boomin' from the album Boomin' Words From Hell. Originally released in 1990 and you can tell. Great beats and flow!

Aight, that's all for now. I'm about to watch The Holy Mountain. I finally came across it and I am stoked about it because I have literally been trying to find this film for something like two years! We'll see how it is. It was directed by the famous Alexandro Jodorowsky, who did El Topo. This is a plot summary that I got from the Internet Movie Database: A Christlike figure wanders through bizarre, grotesque scenarios filled with religious and sacrilegious imagery. He meets a mystical guide who introduces him to seven wealthy and powerful individuals, each representing a planet in the solar system. These seven, along with the protagonist, the guide and the guide's assistant, divest themselves of their worldly goods and form a group of nine who will seek out the Holy Mountain, in order to displace the gods who live there and become immortal.
